i would agree with the microfibre cloth and simple water. i have these premoistened wipes and also eye glasses cleaning solution but they have isopropyl alcohol in them. im not too sure about whether it would affect the screen. meh better safe than sorry i guess

I haven't heard specifically about Kindle screens, but for flat screens in general it is NOT recommended that you spray directly on the screen. People with flat screen TV's have reported that their sets were ruined when it was sprayed.

It seems that the liquid can get under the frame and drain to the edge of the screen. From there it can "wick" up underneath the screen and ruin it. The standard recommendation these days is "no chemicals / liquid"; however if you must use a liquid for some reason you should spray it on the cloth and then wipe the screen. Don't use too much and never spray it directly on the screen.
