My Blue 505 arrived today from J and R in New York. It was sent last night at 6:00 PM and I had it in my hands here in Calgary at noon (Fed Express).
![]() I charged it which took an hour and then loaded up Pillars of the Earth which I had converted to the Sony Format last weekend and I loaded HarryT’s Sherlock Holmes Omnibus. All I can say is that I am one happy camper. The Sony is an excellent piece of hardware and the two books I have loaded read wonderfully. I have not registered with the Sony store. I believe I’ll find the classics on this sight better packaged then the ones available on the Sony site (Harry T has done a great job putting the Sherlock Holmes series together) One note to Canadians… I do not think we’ll have to wait long for the device and the Sony store to be available to us. The instructions come in both French and English and on the back of my 505 under the serial number sticker is printed : This Class B digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003 It is also written in French ![]() - vaud |

Pillars of the Earth is one captivating novel. Red eye night kind. I was told Follet was working on a sequel. Any news on that? Of course we'll have to wait more for the e-version but on this one...well, it'll have to be paper! I won't wait.

Is it a thriller? Fantasy? Sci-Fi?

I am currently reading the sequel, "World without end" with Mobipocket reader 6.1, waiting for my Cybook from NAEB! So far it seems as good as the first book! |

None of the above. "Pillars of the Earth" is a historical fiction centered around the building of a Medieval Cathedral. It follows the lives of a slew of characters throughout the whole period. Its captivating, riveting and so well built!

![]() I'll go to Montréal to find an English library, we don't have one in my home town. This is one of the biggest reasons I have a reader. Last edited by yvanleterrible; 01-26-2008 at 04:42 PM. |
