Yes, you can manage collections on the reader itself now -- for instance, I had inadvertently assigned a Calibre tag of "mystery" (sic) to one book, creating that as a collection when sync'ed to my new 650. I was able to add that book to my existing "Mystery" collection on the device, and delete the lower-case one entirely, without re-tethering; one can create new collections on-the-fly, too Sounds like a feature that would interest you!

I understand the 900 has zoom ... but no lock between page turns? They fixed that, so my double-columned PDF book requires a quick tap to quadrant view when I open it, and the font is plenty big zoomed about halfway. More page turns, but that's a minor tradeoff, IMHO.

Awesome! Thanks for confirming the collections info. That will make it easier to stay organized. When I finish reading a book I like to move it to a "Read" collection. It sounds like this feature will make that process faster since I will be able to do that right on the ereader.

Thanks for the info on PDF zoom too. The lack of zoom lock was a big complaint on the last generation of models so it's nice that Sony has listened. I am also hoping that with the new screens and the contrast control it helps to make some of my PDFs more readable where the text is too light on my 900.

I had to help a friend copy books from a non-Amazon source to her Kindle this weekend. She'd emailed them to her Kindle account, saw them there, but they'd never transfer to the device.

She couldn't figure out how to drag and drop. This is person who uses a computer, but didn't know her Kindle would show up in Windows Explorer as a drive. So there are folks out there who need the wireless.
