I start the day reading the newspaper for half an hour.

After dinner I will read some Bible study for a half an hour, and often read 1-2 hours immediately before bed.

At work.. especially on night shifts, where I can read for at least 6 hours... Day shifts 2 hours... In bed, before I go to sleep 1-2 hours - If I get up during the night, I read a bit more, before going back to sleep...

I also read on my days off, after my chores are done - often before the chores are supposed to be done, and then they don't get done... but who cares.. None of the animals have ever complained...

Briant idea

Mostly in the métro. Sometimes on evenings, in my bed.
On week ends, with some books I can't stop reading.

I spend about 2 hours of every day on the train, and that's when I read the most. At least when some other commuter isn't annoying me.

At home I read during dinner, in front of the television (not just during commercials ), in the bathtub, while brushing my teeth, ...

Now that I have my reader (and the wheather is turning nasty here in Belgium so running outside is not an option anymore) I think I'm going to try the treadmill thing as well. Although I'll be terrified my reader will fall and break.

Usually after work. I enjoy having a glass of wine in the living room and relaxing. Currently, I am reading Brief Interviews with Hideous Men by David Foster Wallace.

Weekdays:
* During lunch time, 20-25 minutes for the food consumption and 30 minutes to read (oh, it reminds me of something I have to post in the Oi, You! dare to interrupt me while I read thread.).
* Heavy toilet stuff....I am not embarrassed to mention it. No. I am not. It is a very valuable reading time.
* 30-40 minutes every night before I switch off the light at bed.

Weekends:
* Morning - 1 hour at least Usually along with a couple of cuppas and palmiers. Some of the best time I have over a week
* Night-bed-time reading as usual.
* Sometimes I get time to read in my garden if weather is good or conservatory if it is raining. I love the sound of rain on the glass roof

No one's been brave enough to say "on the toilet"?

I tend to read in the morning just after the wife has gone to work and while the youngest one sleeps. Then I might on and off while the kids play before lunch. I then tend to study at lunch time when the kids are asleep (so no pleasure reading *cry*). Then of an evening when I have finished studying I will read for an hour or so to relax me so I can go to sleep.

All in all probably 2-3 hours.

Mostly on the metro/train to and from work. Also in the evenings and during the week-end, though that varies depending on other stuff I'm doing, and what I'm reading at the time.

Early morning before my husband gets up is great reading time, then in the evening with a glass of wine. I read lots of other times too-in line at the grocery store, walking the dog, riding in the car on our way to work, etc. But the first two times are my favorite. I can do heavy reading then, books that require more than passing attention.

Weekdays: 2 x 15 minute breaks, on lunch I read for about 20 minutes, when I get home I get in another hour to two plus hours, depending. Usually read for about 30 minutes right when I get home at 4:45 since it's quiet in my house, then more during the evening.

Weekends: Not much right now. College football and pro football take up a lot of my time, especially since we are Miami Hurricanes season ticket holders and we live in Tampa. I try to read in the car but sometimes I get motion sick from it, haha.

Mostly when I have something else to do, but don't want to do it. Like studying...
Bad habit this, very bad.
