Anybody tried the Ikea JANSJÖ? It comes in both floor and desk styles. It's LED, so it's not going to be real bright, but I think it potentially could be perfect for Kindle use. It also shouldn't heat up, which is my pet peeve with halogen lamps.

I just found out yesterday that my mother bought one of those (desk version). I haven't tried it, but it looks pretty bright, and she says the head (of the lamp) gets hot too.
