I have no collections until they implement collections on memory cards. Then I would like to see subcollections and the ability to order books in collections.

For example I would love to have the Collection for Peter F. Hamiltions Confederation universe, a subcollection for the nights dawn trilogy, and then order them in the correct order e.g.
1. The Reality Dysfunction
2. The Neutronium Alchemist
3. The Naked God

I could then add the other novels in the confederation universe in e.g. A Second Chance at Eden into the parent collection.

Mine are:

PreInstalled - The ones that came with the Reader
Purchased - Purchased from the Connect store
Alias - <Future> For books in the Alias series.

The third one is the result of reading this thread. Yes, the Alias books are silly and aimed at teenagers, but they are lots of fun!

Btw, I feel proud to know that my technical abilities may be superior to Alex's, as proved by my daring attempt to manage three whole categories!

Sorry if you already know this, but you can already sort books within a collection into whatever order you like. Just wanted to make sure you know.

Mine are:-

Proust (actually, only the 6 books of "In rememberance of times past"
Arctic (I'm currently really into Arctic History)
Buddhist related
Classic fiction (all those Project Gutenburg worthies)
Contemporary fiction
Other fiction (i.e those that fall between the previous two - chronologically)
Misc. History & Non-Fiction
Travel & Adventure
Sherlock Holmes
Misc.

Consequently, there are 10 categories, which seem to cover everything, and fit nicely on one screen, and correspond to the buttons.

My internal memory is currently down to less than 1mb free, so I can't get any more in at present. When I've read a book, I either delete it completely (if it's not worthy enough to keep) or move it to the SD card, where, although it's unsorted and uncatalogued, at least it's still available for future reference.

The time will come. The Reader has only been out less than six months and we already have one update. There will be another to fix the bugs of the first and add something new.

If having collections on the SD card or Memory Stick is something you want, tell Sony. While we have reason to believe that they read these pages, direct contact is always best. People who take the effort to contact Sony directly are few and their voice is louder than you might think.

I just sort them by authors. I don't have that many books. (yet!!!) What I need is a legal way to get books I have in print as ebooks. (Not through illegal means).

Maybe we should start a drive to declare ebooks as extension of the printed medium. Otherwise, we may face a case where even though you own titles in printed format you will have to buy them again as ebooks. And in a ridiculous case we may find ourselves buy many copies of the same book - one for each device/DRM reader.

I used the categories for Author Names, because I have so many books and the authors menu just show them all in order instead of the list of authors.
