You said it before I could. Tony Curtis was perfect in the movie as the ultimate good guy. His fight with the Baron (played by Ross Martin) is one of the great movie sword fights. Unlike the rest of the movie, this fight is played straight and it works.

I too was very sad upon hearing of the death of Tony Curtis. I always enjoyed his films. My absolute favourite was Some Like It Hot. He was brilliant in the role alongside Jack Lemon, and Marilyn Monroe. The last time I saw him was on our local T.V. station being interviewed on a late talk show. He was a pleasure to listen to, very entertaining, and he had a great way of telling a story. His mischievous sense of humour always guaranteed a good laugh.
He will be sadly missed.
Rest in peace Tony.
