Just wanted to report on the 650--I just got mine a couple days ago and I'm loving it! I'm also a leftie and find the page turn buttons to be very convenient. I also like using the touchscreen and the way Sony has created the user interface is very intuitive. My husband has a Sony 900--and I have to say even though the 900 has a bigger screen he wants my 650. The 650 has a much clearer screen than the 900, and he says the touch screen is much better than what is built into the 900s. Apparently the 650's touch screen is more sensitive to touch--requiring a much lighter touch to activate than the 900s. Also the zoom options on the new Sonys have been expanded, making reading PDFs better than on prior models.

Congrats on your 650!! I'll order mine in November I think. I'm going to order the kobo 2 Friday but am wondering how redundant it would be with having the plan to order the Sony. I just want to cover all my book reading bases lol

I think you fit right in! After this weekend we currently have in our house:
Sony 505, B&N nook, Sony 650 (mine)
Sony 700, Sony 900 (husbands)
Sony 350 (temporarily in our house--will be going to my Mother in Law)

I still can't get a close up of the Sony 650 which is a bit frustrating but I may call an actual Sony store tomorrow to see if they have any demo models out ...I took my Kobo1 back tonight and I'll pre-order the Kobo2 tomorrow and then it will be Sony then Kindle

Update:


I returned the Kobo and tonight with the intentions of Buying the PRS350 I did walk out of Best Buy with the PRS650 instead. I did but didn't want to spend so much but took the plunge anyways.

i played with it for 5 minutes before charging it and I"m already smitten. I have a feeling I'll be returning the Kobo2 I pre-ordered and then getting the Kindle 3 in December now.
