PBM could cope with a polar night reasonably well.

They take me back to my childhood which was spend in the NorthWest Territories (before Nunavut was carved out).

The PBM suffers from SAD.

PBM would rather live in the arctic than the tropics, if they had to choose between the two.

Yes. It's a lot easier to heat a home than to cool it. And I don't even want to think about the effects of high temperature and humidity on anything.

The PBM suffers from a chronic condition.

I've flown on several occasions. Twice, I was even foolish enough to step out of a perfectly good airplane in flight.

The PBM is going for a dry February this year.

I am. I had a dry March (Parch?) last year; I'd rather start earlier this year. And February is shorter.

TPBM has a particular gadget lust they're trying not to indulge.

Sadly yes. I keep wanting to add a mirrorless camera to my collection. A Nikon Z-50 with a 16-50 and a 50-250 lenses plus the adapter to allow use of my old Nikon lenses is my current choice though that may change a few times before I actually make the purchase.

The PBM uses a camera other than the one in their smartphone.

I always have. My old Kodak DX-6490 still works -- I've even had to replace a few parts recently -- and it's my "knocking around" camera. My good camera is an Olympus mirrorless with a few nice lenses.

TPBM has just joined a gym.

Been a regular visitor for 3 years after a long hiatus.

TPBM doesn't smoke but enjoys the smell of cigars.
