Good morning, everyone. Happy December! It's actually cold here this morning! I'm sitting here wearing a fleece vest. Of course I'm still wearing shorts and a T-shirt, but the vest is really needed. It's 14 degrees outside. It'll warm up to about 30 in an hour or two, but right now, it's cold! I see the Thais down on the street wearing ski jackets, scarves and wool hats and gloves!

This morning I have a mug full of extra smoky Lapsang Souchong tea to get me started. (I'm also burning a stick of Balsam Fir incense to keep the mood.) Sun just popped up over the horizon, and it's going to be a very good day!

If you like rum, and like it sweet, look for Capt.Morgan "Jamaica" Rum. The company makes several different blends, but the "Jamaica" blend is much sweeter than the others without being too treacly.

What pooh said, Bilbo. Horrible thought. Of course, there are worse things that a good Cuba Libre, but still, no whisky is certainly an emergency. (Though don't you have a different number from 999 for "non life threatening" emergencies? Probably best call that one just in case you get someone on the line who doesn't understand that this really IS life threatening. )

Well, I'm fine with turkey, as a starting point for mole, but otherwise, not so thrilled. And I do a very good spaghetti carbonara, so we celebrate U.S. thanksgiving with that. And celebrate our own Thanksgiving with either a duck or a ham.
