I've been brewing my own coffee lately. Anyone who drinks coffee should try brewing their own cup at least once.

I wasn't a serious coffee drinker before, but after brewing the perfect cup of coffee that I tailored to my own tastes, I can never go back to store bought coffee!

A great cup of coffee made with a french press, so far, has been my absolute favorite. The oils from the beans are intact and you can really taste the subtle flavors. You would drink it black of course.

And, of course, when I got the actual hardware tech out here, he confirmed that ALL the modems of this type are having problems ever since the network changeover. This was, of course, completely denied by the tech in Halifax. IDIOTS, but that's a different thread.

Fresh squeezed OJ while I brew a pot of Holiday Breakfast Blend tea. Somehow, with SNOW on the ground, this seems like the right tea.

Today will be spend making sausage and catching up on some knitting. We're all out of Mexican Chorizo, so I'll start the process to make 10 Lbs of it today. Will finish off Tuesday when I do the actual grinding and stuffing.

Pouilly Fume.

Found a great whisky shop today, near Borough Market in London. Enjoyed seeing the massive range available. Most expensive was a single bottle for a mere £17,000! Ended up just buying a (much more affordable) bottle of Auchroisk for my father in law as a house warming present.

Somehow, that's one that just doesn't work for me. Lagavulin, yes. But Laphroaig, not so much so. Though it's been a while, and now that Talisker is my "normal" malt, I might well find it works for me. Need to try it next time I'm out where they have it.

Sipping a bit of Peet's Pride of the Port Blend tea this afternoon. Chorizos are in process. Nothing to deal with there except tossing it every day until Tuesday, then I'll grind and stuff it.
