Makes you wonder what the poor kitten saw! Perhaps a bad hair day/terrible wardrobe day for someone!

All safe here. I found out Stella isn't a bit afraid of storms - I had the windows open as the storms approached - she wasn't a bit fazed by the thunder or lightning - only jumped off the window sill when the rain began hitting her.
I'm contemplating trying to leash train her - she's got lots of energy & interest in outside stuff. |

Thanks! The ones I've seen in pet stores look too flimsy & cheap! I was going to look at dog harnesses. I'd appreciate your help on this. |

and this is second the first one closes with large velcro straps, neither of them have been able to get out of it. the second works *ok*, but both of them have been able to wriggle out to where it is only around their neck. I use one of those leashes that will expand out. some go up to 25 feet I think, 10 is plenty. I run the latch for the leash through the D ring on the harness and actually attach it to the collar. this way you are attached to the cat in 2 different places. introduce the harness slowly, let her hang out in the house wearing it. the first few times you actually go out, have no agenda, if Stella wants to wander, let her wander. if she just wants to roll around on the ground and have a hissy fit, let her. just do not push it. if you do it well, you'll find you can't even touch the harness without her insisting it is time for a walkie! |

I think she means the pellet/ball-like snow that falls sometimes ..
corn snow –noun Skiing . snow in the form of small pellets or grains produced by the alternate melting and freezing of a snow layer. |

Thanks! I love the name "kitty holster"! ![]() Stella had the oddest reaction when I first put her collar on her - she stood up on her hind legs and tried to "back out" of it - and kept walking backwards. Never saw any other cat do this. Now she doesn't know that she is wearing a collar any more. I think I'll try the holster - it looks the most secure. [and yes, I remember the "joys" of introducing a walking harness & leash - I had an Australian sheep dog puppy years ago - when I first put his collar & leash on him, he threw himself on his back with all 4 legs in the air - I actually had to drag him over the lawn on his back a few times before he finally flipped over and decided it wasn't that bad after all. ![]() |

Felicity wears a collar at all times with my phone number on it, but she's basically an indoor cat. I did enclose the veranda with netting so she can go out and lay in the sun when she wants to (she has her own dirt filled flower box to lie in,) but I still feel better with her having a phone number on her for when her 'Papillon' mode overtakes her and she escapes. She's out in the sun most of the afternoons.
