My 505 screen has spontaneously died and a factory reconditioned 600 is on its way. A simple question: will everything I've learned about applying and using PRS+ on the 505 work on the 600. I have it in mind that the 600 is not as robust as the 505 with regard to its unbrickability.

p.s. wrong forum, I suspect, but if anyone knows a trick to revive apparently defunct screens I would, of course, be delighted to hear from them.

You are right, there is no fool-proof way of unbricking a 600.
Thus there is a two-step process to install PRS+

using a so called base-flasher. While executing this, a minimal modified FW will be flashed. (This is the risky part, and had to be done only once)
then using the PRS+ installer by copying the folder PRS+Installer to the IM, then do a complete shutdown and restart.
During the restart PRS+ files are copied into a non-visible internal partition and then parts of the (Linux) filesystem will be remounted. This way no flashing is necessary.

All updates are handled by executing step 2 again.

Please note, that as with the 505, there is a Safe-Mode. When starting up while connected to USB, PRS+ will not start.

This is probably a stupid question, but I have looked on here, I just can't find it.
I have a 600. Way back on page 100 of this thread I used the base flasher and the PRS+ installer. I loaned it out to a friend. I just got it back, and wouild like to loan it to another friend. How do I upgrade to the newer version? Are there advantages to upgrading?

The next release of PRS+ is just around the corner though, so I'd suggest waiting just a little bit before updating.

Sure, here you go

First screenshot is collections with their actual names, 2nd and 3rd screenshot with sub-collections enabled. So to use sub-collections, just name your collections with a | character where you want the split. The name Series|Harry Potter will result in your Harry Potter sub-collection being inside the Series collection. I'm guessing it's most useful for series and genres, but I'm sure people will find other uses as well.

Quisvir, to use sub-collections on prs-505, would i have to add the character | to the collection name, when i create a new in readerlibrary?

2.0.15 release candidate is out. Key customization options on 600 are greatly improved, no supporting all buttons, except paging.

See changelog for all changes.

Kartu, have these issues (ALL: EPUB Css styles are now sorted, ALL: Fixes #215 fb2epub converter doesn't work with cards with disabled scanning ) added to the repository? Because, i haven't seen these changes, althought the new version is on downloads.

I can't speak toward the fb2epub issue but the EPUB css styles are now sorted alphabetically.

They are in v2-0 rep, not yet in default.
