Did you ever have to make up your mind?
You pick up on one and leave the other one behind
It's not often easy and not often kind
Did you ever have to make up your mind?

Did you ever have to finally decide?
And say yes to one and let the other one ride
There's so many changes and tears you must hide
Did you ever have to finally decide?

Choices... decisions... Life can be so trying at times!

Good morning, everyone. Happy Wednesday! Looks as if it will be a glorious day, filled with fun and laughter, to day nothing of creative, active fellowship with man! I'm celebrating with a big mug of Viang Joom On's "English Breakfast" tea, and a bowl full of something green and white from the Food Lady. Running fast this morning... full day ahead. Lunch with friends, a few hours of guitar jamming with other friends down at the lake, and a fencing lesson afterwards for a friend who wants to try the delicate touch of foil fencing. He's a good epee fencer now, but never tried foil, and I've been asked to introduce him to the art of the weapon! How will he do with such a reduced target area? The entire body is target for the epee, but foil can only score on the body's trunk. No arms, legs, or head. Requires a lot more physical movement and a lot more finesse!

Gordon's Gin is to Bombay Sapphire as a Casio wrist watch is to a Breitling Chronograph. Both tell time, but one does so very much more and does so with panache!

Bombay Sapphire is truly unique. While ordinary gins boil their botanicals directly in the spirit to achieve their flavor, the taste of Bombay Sapphire is created through the Vapour Infusion process. (Listen up... dis is important.)

"The 10 precious botanicals used in our gin are held separate from the spirit in perforated copper baskets, and when the heated vapours rise, the distinctive flavour of the botanicals are released. The result? A complex aromatic liquid that delivers a broader, more balanced flavour." (Got it?)

Because of these 10 precious herbs, I think we can consider Bombay Blue a 'health food drink.'

It's not just for breakfast any more!

Well now you've told me that, and put me and Gordon firmly in our place, how can I ever go back? Now I just need to stop my 18 yo daughter drinking my Bombay Sapphire - maybe I'll buy the Gordon's just for her ...

I suppose Gordon's IS better than squeezing and straining canned 'Sterno' chaffing dish fuel on a regular basis... and most likely MUCH better than much of the tequila I used to drink when I was hanging out down on the Mexican border in my formative years.

When he was in his early 20's, I convinced my son that beer was much healthier for him, especially if he made it himself. He believed me. God only knows why... But because he made it himself, and only had a finite quantity, he limited himself to two bottles a night. If for no other reason, THAT made it healthier, as most of his friends were getting completely pissed every night.

I'm glad to say she's a one or two drinks a night person (and only a couple of nights a week) so I'm not too concerned. Her usual tipple is alcoholic Ginger Beer, which is relatively harmless.

Well, no alcohol here this morning - just a pot of Lion Mountain Keemun and a mug of Major Dickason's coffee. Of course, between the two, probably more stimulation than even a bit of Bombay Sapphire.

When I say I'm having a 'small' glass, I DO mean small. About a shot or two at the most, and I make that last for the duration of a movie. The only time I drink more is on my birthday, when I drink a pitcher of frozen margaritas!

Where is the WCTU when you really need them?!?

Let us sing...
We're coming, we're coming, our brave little band
On the right side of temp'rance we now take our stand.
We don't use tobacco, because we do think
That the people who use it are liable to drink

Away, away, with rum, by gum,
Rum by gum, rum by gum
Away, away, with rum, by gum,
The song of the Temperance Union.

We never eat cookies because they have yeast,
And one little bite turns a man to a beast.
Oh, can you imagine the utter disgrace
Of a man in the gutter with crumbs on his face?

Guinness (went back to work too soon - bad cold bug) - I use an oil-filled space heater to drive out the damp ... or a lap full of cats ...
