A new whisky to try this evening - Glen Elgin, a Speyside. I'm expecting it to be on the slightly sweet side, but with good balance. IAC, there is no Talisker to be had anywhere on the Coast right now.

We definitely are not Pullman! To give you an idea, we are at 65 right now.
Send me a list of needs, absolute nots, and maybes. We're talking everything from property size, proximity to neighbors, hospitals, shopping etc. I'll start with some counties to look at then send some actual houses. We'll see what floats your boat, errrrrr chicken hutch!

I was just reading the Vent and Rant thread, and it really boggles my mind...

Good morning, everyone! Another early Sunday in Paradise. It's almost September... "Time is but a stream I go a'fishing in." It's a beautiful rainy morning, cool enough to not need the air conditioner, and should turn into a perfect sunny day! I can see the weather front moving across the eastern sky, sun shinning already on the mountains to the east of the basin. Should be here in another 2-3 hours. A bit of flooding here yesterday though. I rode home on the higher streets, and still was going through water up to my foot pegs. In some areas I saw locals out with fishing nets where the streams had overflowed the banks. Gotta hand it to the Thais. Instead of complaining about the flood, they are happy that they can fish closer to home! Half full? Half empty?

There's Lapsang Souchong tea in my cup this morning. The 'extra smokey' blend from McNulty's Tea&Coffee in NYC. Just right on a rainy morning! We picked up some fried tofu and 'Mu Yaw' at the night market last night, as the Food Lady takes Sundays off and knew I'd be too lazy to cook up a big breakfast this morning.

Good morning, everyone. Labor Day. In America it's a day when employer's honor their workers. In Japan it's a day when workers honor their bosses. Go figure... Either way, it's a good day for the beach, a picnic, and good times with friends!

Twining's "Prince of Wales" tea this morning, as I try to weed out some 'back of the shelf' stuff. Certainly nothing to write home about. As generic as a tea can get! I wonder why it hasn't become extinct? It could join the Passenger Pigeon... 100 years ago today the last Passenger Pigeon died in captivity... The single most abundant species of birds in the world in the late 1800's, One flock in 1866 in southern Ontario was described as being 1 mile wide and 300 miles long, took 14 hours to pass, and held in excess of 3.5 billion birds. Now, not a single one left... Hunted out for food and chased away by habitat destruction.... Here's to you, pige... I life a cup of tea!
