With the other Dresden books it took about 4 months after turning the script in at the publisher. So, half of November, add 4, makes early March.

This should not be a surprise. The January date was likely a placeholder until the publisher's people got their hands on it and got an idea of how long it would take to get it ready.

I agree with everything here. I'm not jumping into another countdown until we see an actual release date on ALL major ebook sites.

I hate having to wait, but fortunately I have more than enough to do these days. I can't remember the last time I finished a book in one sitting!

I've never finished a book in one sitting. My record is 2 days and I think the longest book in that amount of time was 400 pages, not too bad considering I'm dyslexic.

I'll believe a date when I see it on Jim's page, or it's announced by the publisher. Until then, the dates being put up are pretty meaningless. Personally, given that the book was just finished, I'd say that the Jan date is laughable, and I wouldn't be completely surprised if the actual date is closer to the July one than the Jan one. Late March, early April is probably the most realistic time period.

Until then, well, read something else

Okay, change of topic.
Since my wife has started the series, shes been asking me some questions about some of the characters. It got me thinking about some of the really minor players that are not main characters.
Who is your favorite "bit" character? Someone with few scenes or only appeared a couple of times but left an impression on you.
I really liked Sheila from Dead Beat. Im not talking
