Whew! I had forgotten how much energy kittens had! Fortunately Goldie has begun playing with Stella, giving me some down time.

So ... I had bought a remote-control mouse which the cats loved. Of course it was cheaply made, and broke on the first day. Pondering what moving toy could withstand the assault of an out-of-control kitten I visited Radio Shack - and purchased a small remote-control car, figuring if it was made to withstand the efforts of small boys to repeatedly smash it into walls and pieces of furniture, it might last for a few days with the cats. I glued the mouse on top of it and charged it up. It was a hit! Especially when the cats knocked it under the kitchen stove and I was able to make it whiz out from under by itself. AND - it runs over carpet [I got the model with big wheels].

The attached picture shows Stella & Sammy viewing "Squirrel Theater" - after I fill the bird feeders I put the almost empty bag of bird seed on the deck. Soon squirrels arrive and begin ripping open the bag to get the bird seed - avidly viewed through the deck door by fascinated felines!

POOH: Now you have me jealous! lovely cat and kitten-pic; gimme those cats, I want them to play with my Polly and that remote-control-thinges-mouse...

Amazon is good about replacing Kindles with broken screens free of charge here in the States. I can't promise you the same service in Vietnam, but it certainly won't hurt to try. In general, Amazon likes to keep their customers happy. Contact Customer Service; I wish you the best of luck.

That cat is gonna be a big 'un!

She is beautiful. I'm a little jealous, but only a little. My elderly Lori kitty seems to have entered a very needy phase, so it's not unlike having a kitten in the house. She is very vocal...

So, I called them, first I got in the hand of a guy called Josh... or something

and it didn't work so well, 10 mins later I called up again and a woman named Caroline S. was a real nice one

She told me she would create a replacement order with charges using a gift certificate balance that she applied to my account - no charge was placed on my credit card. The replacement kindle will be here on 8th April, via Priority International Courier. wow. Oh and I needn't return my broken kindle back to Amazon either

so I think it should be a nice proof of how fragile Kindle is. And an e-mail came later, confirming all the details

You've must have been really depressed. I know that I was when my first Kindle was defective.

You really shouldn't be whacking yourself in the head with your Kindle....I know sometime with textbooks that helps the lessons settle in, but Kindle's are different.
