Keep in mind that not all books have been converted yet.

I don't sync but the recent books I've downloaded (Mary Roach) don't have page numbers...but I don't have a K3 either -- just the K2 and kindle apps on my Android devices.

BTW Mary Roach is going to be in Denver next week.....how do you get an ebook signed????

Maybe have her sign the back of your Kindle? (have seen a news story somewhere where people were doing that...)

Just like the iPad, I'm sure. If it can check e-mail, you have to set it up with a pop account.

They are. What I meant to say was to delete them from your Kindle and re-download them from your archive folder. It's the only way I know to insure that you have the latest copy (with page numbers, if available). Sorry for any confusion.

I don't know if Amazon automatically updates books already existing on your Kindle when you do a wireless sync or not, and as far as I can tell, there's no way to know before buying if a given book has been updated to include the page numbers.

The latest K2 update still doesn't offer page numbers. Bummer.

One thing I don't particularly care for is that with the latest K3 update, you have to press the menu button to see the locations/page number info. Otherwise, all you see at the bottom of your screen is a status bar that shows percentage read. But that's no big deal.

If you've been hearing hysterical laughter this afternoon - it was me. Yesterday we went to the pet store and I had to be physically restrained from throwing one of everything into the cart for the new kitten.

Well, one thing I did insist on buying was a remote control mouse on wheels - you charge it up and then direct its movements with a hand held controller. Stella loved it! And - when she knocked it under the stove - I was able to have it zoom out by itself! It was fun for all!
