the reason i got confused is because i just bought a book after reading a synopsis on goodreads, and on GR it said it was around 320+ pages (ebook), so when i bought it and saw the locations (a little over 4k), i wondered how it could be that long, since i just finished two books that had locations of 7-8k and were around 300 pages (one had page numbers with it).

With the latest update for the K3, the Kindle now displays page numbers as well as locations for most books (Amazon is in the process of updating all their books to also display page numbers). Whether this means Amazon will eventually abandon locations altogether is anyone's guess.

yes. i was pleasantly surprised when one of the books i bought yesterday had page numbers

how would i get the updated versions, though? i mean, if i bought the book earlier without numbers.

Hmm, you know if that applies to the Kindle app? I don't think I've seen it on any of my travels. Is it dependent on the book?

I really have no idea. Have you done a Sync & Check for New Items to see if that updates any of your books to page numbers? The only other thing I could think of to try is to Archive your books, and then re-download them.

Keep in mind that not all books have been converted yet.
