I loved that one too. It was an impulse purchase at an airport which I didn't get around to reading to about a year after I bought it. Wow.

I love the title, that's a good start I added it to my wishlist at Fictionwise.

Just finished "The Idiot Girl and the Flaming Tantrum of Death" by Laurie Notaro, which was a free download ages ago.

I was in the mood for something light, and this fit the bill.

Actually made me laugh out loud in several places, and kept a smile on my face thru-out.

It helped that part of the book was about Phoenix and I could relate entirely with her outlook......what she says is true!

Somebody posted some old Ray Chandler book covers yesterday -- and reminded me that I'd not read this old favourite for many years. I immediately bought half a dozen ol' Chandlers and am totally sidetracked from more serious reading. The chap was hilarious. Hoots. Neil

I purchased this just a few days ago and saved about $5.00

I'm currently reading the novel and will post a comment when I'm about 25% into it.

Just finished "The March" by E. L. Doctorow -- Excellent book! I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 (I just have a really hard time giving a perfect score) okay, okay a 5

It weaves an incredible fictitious story around real historical events, people and places during the Civil -- The March refers to Sherman's march through the south leaving a past of destruction near the end of the American Civil war.

Once more he fills me the the appreciation of what a great writer he is!

Highly recommended.

I loved that I should have pictured him for the rest of the book, I think it would have taken it to a whole new level

I was (yet again) able to answer a Jeopardy question tonight due to having participated in this forum about _The Help_. Now I might just have to add it to my reading list.

I suspect it may not go back down so I may have to just wait on it to hit the library.

I take that back... two questions. I was easily able to determine the London landmark... A question about who was there a statue of at the Baker St entrance to something, the underground maybe.

But I mean Sherlock Holmes practically jumped right out of my head as the answer to this one.
