Quisvir:

1) Do you think it is possible to make the sleep-mode assignable to another button?

Would be great to be able to send the reader into sleep-mode with say one long push on the home button.

2) Do you think it is possible to alter waiting time for automatic sleeping mode (10 min. default) and switch-off (3 days default)?

For me 10 minutes are too short and 3 days too long.

Thanks,

A.

1 might be possible, 2 I think probably not. Please post them in the feature requests thread (here), so we can keep track of them.

Yes.

Hmm, I did, but it doesn't show that, it shows PRS+ 2.0.12beta at the top of the About screen.

I called my version 2.0.14latest in the PRSP_VER statement. And that is in the prspfw.ver file.

So something did not work properly.

PS: As a sidenote, I've also coded an additional option which lets the user select the collection for the booklist manually. It will be added to the main repository after the next version (v15) is released.
No. But it seems that I did not get updated properly.

Great. And that choice will be sticky? And will changing that be assignable to a button?

-----------------------------EDIT------------

I put the update file on the reader again, and this time it took. It is working properly now, and I can change the collection that is shown.

Not sure why it did not work the first time.

Hmm, did you take out the choice of Last Opened?

The two views I think I would use the most is the Collection and Last Opened (in case I am reading or referring to more than one book at a time).

There is a possibility, I presume, making an update not working:

After an update there is an additional file in the root of the reader called 'runonce' which, so far as I know, is responsible for DELETING the update folder. It should be deleted on a second restart.

Making an update, restarting ONCE, leaving the file in the root, copy the next update folder onto the reader could delete the (new) update folder without changing PRS+.

At 'Last opened':

I do still have the option with the latest version of PRS+

Glad to hear you've got it working. The Last Opened option should still be there. If you can select it in the PRS+ Settings menu, and it has results (i.e. at least 1 book in book history besides the current book), you should also be able to cycle through it.

The selected collection will be sticky (which is also the case now for the 'next in collection' option btw, when you've used the cycle action to get another collection). It currently doesn't have an action, but I can see that it's quite a hassle to go through the menus each time, so I'll put it on my todo-list.

OK, if I select it from the menu it comes up. I think the issue is, I haven't opened any books since I installed the update. When I select it from the menu, it comes up with no books. So maybe it is just being skipped.

Analogus - THANKS for all the help.

quisvir - THANKS for the great additions to make the x50 readers so much more usable.

Now for the next request.

How about settings to skip certain collections and certain options.

I would never use the %All by Author and %All by Title collections from the home page. But I may just eliminate those two collections anyway.

Also, Random Books and Last Added options are not ones I have a particular use for.

Hmm, possibly. I did not restart a second time after the initial install of PRS+.

Correct, empty booklists are skipped when using the cycle action. Building an interface to let the user deselect booklist options or collections is quite a lot of work, unfortunately, so I don't think that'll be implemented.

I have a question. When you go into a collection, books always appear sorted by add order. Although you change it, it loses the change when you leave the collection? Would there be any way to fix a different default sort order for collections?

Hello,
I am wondering if it would be possible to add an option to go to a define page in books like what you can do in a book in order to simplify navigation.

Font size

Hi,

It's just a suggestion to improve the font selection (as I said before, if think sincerely that PRS+ is a great work).
Do you think it would be possible to improve the font selection by splitting the css file.
For example, having one file containing the font size (p {font-size: 92%}, etc), another one the lien spacing (p {line-height: 135%}) and a last one the font family.
In merging these three files, it would create the style.css file.
In saving the names of each one in another file, it would so be possible to change only the font, or the font size, or the line spacing.

Thanks.

Pascal
