Leftover Coke Zero. I always buy one for myself when I go grocery shopping. (I work cheap.)

Water. After four cups of Lapsang Siuchong, I am ready for something else. Gotta love 11 hour days, at least they are infrequent...

No tea, no coffee today. Though probably some tea later. I had my usual fresh squeezed OJ with breakfast, but then I've been working in the kitchen for the last several hours, grinding and stuffing 3 different 2.5kg batches of sausage. Basque chorizo, Andouille, and pizza-style Pepperoni. All three will get smoked tomorrow, after they've had a chance to hang for a day.

Sparkling water but I just had a glass of iced tea made with pg tips. It's a LOT stronger than regular black tea!

They say don't go on Wolverton Mountain if you're looking for a wife Cause Clifton Clowers has a pretty young daughter He's mighty handy with a gun and a knife Her tender lips are sweeter than honey and Wolverton Mountain protects her there The bears and the birds tell Clifton Clowers if a stranger should enter there All of my dreams are on Wolverton Mountain I want his daughter for my wife I'll take my chances and climb that mountain Though Clifton Clowers he might take my life Her tender lips are sweeter than honey... The bears and the birds tell Clifton Clowers if a stranger should wander there ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rUulhGrc7Y ) Good morning, everyone! Memories of High School! I just got the invite to our 50th Reunion coming up this year! I doubt I'll go, but it's been fun talking with old friends again on our high school Facebook page. I attended a very large school (1,362 kids in our graduating class...) and have actually made many new friends whose names I only knew back then as we weren't in classes together. There are dozens of 'famous' alums from my school from different years; Simon and Garfunkel, Burt Bacharach, Art Buchwald, Ray Danton, Geraldine Ferraro, Ron Rifkin, Jerry Springer, and dozens more. Telly Savalas was a teacher there in the mid '50's! Where did I go wrong?!? ![]() Quote:

From reading the box I get the impression it isn't available loose.
Ha! My graduating class had thirty five! But then again it was a private boarding school. If I'd stayed at the public school I think the class would have been eight hundred something. I haven't made reunions at either school, that could be very interesting |

Home after a very long day and enjoying cold tea. I've opened the windows, to cool the house down, and getting ready to slice some apples.

I agree about PG Tips. It's one of the few commercially bagged teas that is actually good. We can get it here, in bags, but again no loose tea available.
Last night we opened a bottle of 1997 Beaulieu Vineyards Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon. This was one of a very limited bottling of new clones that they were considering for their signature Georges de la Tour Reserve. We only were able to get two of them at the time, and two of the Clone 6. Both were excellent with a couple of years on them (drunk right around the turn of the century), but when we had the Clone 6 a couple of years ago, it really hadn't stood up. Which made opening the Clone 4 last night a bit of a tense moment. But we needn't have worried - it was wonderful. Just a slight bit of oxidation showing along the edge of the glass, and the nose had lost a bit of it's fruit, but not all by any means. In the mouth, the tannins were still there, but very soft, and the blackberry and bramble fruits were mostly gone. But still that characteristic Rutherford Dust, and a very nice wine. Especially given it's had a rough time (storage was not the best during the period when we were in the process of immigrating to Canada.) This morning I just finished my Peet's Major Dickason's coffee, and moving to Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea. |

Hell or High Watermelon Beer from 21 Amendment Brewery. Not bad. It is a wheat beer with watermelon but you don't really taste the watermelon. Little Man is home with pink eye so I am having a beer while he naps.
