She's been gone almost a week and a half... and I miss her. Must be love.

Good morning, everyone! No special plans for this quiet Tuesday... A walk into town, find a shady spot for some reading, maybe play a little guitar... I open for anything peaceful! I've a full mug of East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea beside me, just waiting to go downstairs to visit the Food Lady and choose something either green or red, but other than that, the beginning of a nice, quiet day!

Good luck, Charlie. I don't know how you put up with going through all these job interviews. I doubt I could handle the stress. The psychologists say that after 1. a death in the family, 2. moving to a new home, that changing jobs is the number 3 stressor!

Oh wow. As I recall you are fairly far removed from the hotspots? Anything happening near you?

Pretty peaceful up here. The real problem area is around Bangkok, 12 hours south. I didn't even see any military vehicles or personnel around town, although there were a few helicopters flying low back and forth over the city watching for demonstrations. Probably lots of military at major intersections and gathering spots in Bangkok. People have been 'asked' to go home after 6pm, not to gather in groups larger than five, and not to argue between political groups if they should meet. I had dinner in the nearest shopping mall, and it was more empty than usual by 6:30, but no one was rushing to leave.

I doubt there will be any major interruption of daily life for 99% of the population. Probably a few more road blocks added to the usual number on the highways. (There are ALWAYS road blocks checking for Burmese illegal aliens who do migratory work here, but watching for demonstrators being bussed into the city.

First mug of tea, but I've already driven to Newark Int'l airport to drop off my wife and son, gone to a couple of store, and dropped off the table lamp to have the socket replaced.

Good morning, everyone. Well, despite the Media saying that soldiers have flooded the streets of Thailand, perhaps there is a military presence in the city of Bangkok, but Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand and I couldn't find a single soldier or military vehicle anywhere in town... and I went lookin'! If you look at the ABC news photos coming out of Bangkok, if you take a close look at the soldier's rifles, you'll see that the ammunition magazines aren't even loaded in them, and if you look at their belt pouches you can tell they don't even HAVE ammo magazines in them, and their grenade pouches are empty too. "It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

So I'll drink my tea this morning, unbranded Keemun, eat my breakfast, then take a long walk before going to play some music with friends... No different from many other days. Leave it to the Media to drum up sensation!
