Mine should have been shipped on or before today (10th), ordered 17 Aug, but it's still showing not yet dispatched so I guess there's a hold up- probably run out!!

Shame I have to leave it charging whilst I go and watch West Ham get mullered by Chelsea this afternoon!

2 weeks for me now and not even an estimate.

Bleh, if it wasn't for the fact there's an extreme lack of Pearl readers (both in terms of stock and range), I'd cancel the order.

I'm doing a little happy dance, after my shower I checked e-mail and my order has been shipped! It will be here in plenty of time to give my mom my Kobo before she has to go to the hospital.

When will I see my Kindle 3?
Hi all newbie here! Placed my order for a Kindle 3 (with 3G) on 9th September - Amazon UK. Based on you guys' experience when can I expect delivery.

PS: I've already downloaded well over 100 free books in MOBI format, so I'm raring to go!

Well, I ordered on 17 Aug and Amazon have just today informed me it should be here on 16 Sept so it's just been 1 month. Really looking forward to my first reader.

My order date was August 24th. I mailed Kindle today for an update, and at 1pm got a response saying (as originally agreed when I ordered it) on or before 17 September.

I then got an email at 3pm, stating that it would now be on or before 23 September.

Calling Amazon (well, using the call-me-back thing) got me through to someone who said that I was told a lie, that I wouldn't get it on or by the 17th, but by 23 September, as they've run out of stock in the UK. (Although I'll take this to mean that they can't meet the requests for most orders placed, so some people may get it.)

Not entirely pleased, since not only did the pre-order date say 17th, but they obviously were only going to tell me if I asked them about it (and even then got it wrong!) so I do hope they'll give me free same day shipping when it does finally come back in
