The World turned, stuttered a little as it hit a small thought that passed through the cosmos on its way to Wherever. That thought went wild, hit upon an idea and ran with it. The Idea was good, and was set to became part of legend. The Legend became a new thought and around it went again, and again, and again.
In the beginning the idea was good. Minds of sanity and insanity whacked and nutty, some would use the idea and some would not - Who cares, individuals we be, chose your own and if no one else likes, then tough .... whatever ... it's a word with a usage, maybe not yours', but again, who cares ..... I have two devices for reading .... therefore one shall be called reader and the other liseuse .... ![]() |

I think the Pocketbook 302 is much more liseuse-ish than the Cybook - much more "pretty lady sitting in the dappled shade of a birch tree fully, or in a sophisticated cafe sipping coffee whilst engaged with reading", don't you think?

It depends if the coffee is a mere Kawfee or a double latte sans sugar, mit Kreme and with an extra dollop of whip cream..... Be careful I am on a diet hence the sans sugar....har har...
The Cybook is for Righties.... one reason I switched to The Astak PP.... as an Oppressed Lefty Minority... I must advocate the PP for any Lefties/Surdos/ South Paws/Sinestros/ and hidarikikis out there...... Long live the LHLF(Left-handed Liberation Front) !!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thanks, all. This thread just gave me my morning giggles, and I'm sure today will be a good day because it started with a laugh.
I rather enjoyed these points: 1) Whoever was posting those lame "memegenerator.net" images. Talk about irony. Those are all the failed attempts at forcing memes on 4chan based on the Advice Dog meme. Much like the failed attempts at forcing "liseuse" into the English language. 2) The idea that those evil anti-"liseuse" people are starting a campaign against the word (get this--) in a thread that's starting a campaign to force the word on the unsuspecting public. Nice. 3) That dislike for the word is somehow xenophobic. This made me laugh out loud. And on that note, I'll leave you with actual word xenophobia from The Simpsons, and go back to the Kindle forums where I belong: Homer: Hmm. I wonder why he's so eager to go to the garage? Moe: The "garage"? Hey fellas, the "gay-razh"! Well, ooh la di da, Mr. French Man. Homer: Well what do you call it? Moe: A car hole! |

Here's a stupid question, but that's Okay; I'm an American.
What's the proper way to pronounce liseuse? |
