No, you're right, although it was the Awful Truth I rented. Now that I read the summary at IMDB, I remember that they were starting to divorce (over something rather silly), and then hilarity ensues.

But, I know I did rent another film from the 30s that had something about invalid marriages and that was also a screwball comedy. Clearly, I'm getting old, and between my idiot cats and the stupid trucks ....

Are you sure. I thought it had Archie Leach in it:

Positive it wasn't that.

Archie Leach was the name of John Cleese's character in A Fish Called Wanda. It was also Cary Grant's birth name, and yes, JC's character was named after CG's real name.

I think it's a lost pulp horror movie entitled "Slow Death by a Thousand Tiny Ants". It was an independent.

Aren't we on post 259 now?

I want to say 'The Hunger', I know it's not 'The Hunger' but I'm feeling peckish.

Hudson Hawk is a genius film that not many people seem to like. I, for one, LOVE IT. It's not a comedy, it's not a thriller, it's not a crime film, it's ALL of these things, and it has crazy batshit insane DaVinci stuff in there that actually makes more sense than any of Dan Brown's nonsense.

Who couldn't love two cat-burglars who time their heists by the length of a song that they sing? Plus, if you haven't seen the director's other work, its very worthwhile - Heathers and Meet the Applegates.

Don't forget, it's also Bond film. Surely you can't say that the Mayflowers, OR their sword slasher butler aren't cookie-cutter Bond villians!

To quote someone: OH...MY...GOD! ("OMG" doesn't quite carry the punch of Janice's voice)

Someone actually liked that poor excuse of a movie Hudson Hank!

And here was I thinking I was the only one... Hudson Hank is the new Godfather!

Hudson Hawk is BETTER than the Godfather (well, maybe not part II)
