ok campers, doughnut day is a sunday this month so i'm going back to basics, plain for dunking in your coffee, glazed because they are the ultimate doughnut, and powdered because they were my father's doughnut of choice, he always had some powdered suger smears on his pants and my mother always caught him when he sneaked a doughnut or twelve

be kind to each other and buy a doughnut for a stranger, make a new friend, my current g/f was once a stranger who i bought a doughnut for, imagine picking up a fine lady at a doughnut joint, better and cheaper than a bar

Not a problem, glazed it is. I haven't had a "plain" since they closed the Mister Donut -- they made a plain with a nub for holding the donut when you dinked.

It's here! DOUGHNUT DAY AT MOBILEREAD!!!

I had a dream last night that one day not only would there be an announcement as such on the front page of the MR website but also on the front page of every major news website. Okay, give it another month or two.

There are doughnuts in the kitchen awaiting eating. Cream and jam filled ones. And some other non-doughnut pastries.

I forgot that Sunday was donut day this week. The Shell station in town makes their donuts and thay had a fresh batch of chocolate covered ones that looked just like the picture!

I was bad today -- three (3) donuts: glazed, plain (and I dunked), and a maple frosted. No other customers while I was there. Oh well, the day is still young.

I love it that you were bad (good), Good Master RWood - it makes me feel better (you know, that guilt thing). I took my wife to a local coffee shop (owned by three local school teachers - what were they thinking??) and we had a couple of raspberry and white chocolate scones with fruit smoothies. Yum! There were a couple of people there but they seemed involved and so I didn't offer to buy them some, too.

we need all the help we can get for the september doughnut day, schools back in session and a sugar rush makes any class better, sure a beer would be even better but then the teacher would insist that you share with her
