I'll ether wear the coat with big pockets or use a map-case style shoulder bag (which can also take chargers, cables and 11″ tablet if needed) if I want to take the Sage out. Best reader ever for me and I do still have PW3, Libra, Libra 2, Sony PRS-350 5″ and the 4.7″ eink (which lives in coat). I keep the pen in my glasses case where it fits with glasses, if going out. I don't have to charge it annoyingly often and have read about 40+ ebooks since 25th December on it. Last edited by Quoth; 01-31-2024 at 10:25 AM. |

Hmm. I've read on my Sage for two years almost every night; doesn't seem so useless to me. I usually charge it every few days, which is fine for me. I would even be fine with charging it every day. What I wouldn't be fine with is additional weight. Holding an ereader puts the heaviest load on my hands and wrists, which are naturally small and slim, and no amount of exercise will make them larger, so I absolutely don't want a heavier device. I guess people with naturally large hands and thick wrists wouldn't understand, just as tall persons don't really get the problems of short persons and vice versa.

The Power Cover was an absolute mess and didn't work correctly. If they'd done it right, it might have been somewhat more succesful. It was also too expensive.

My WAG is as informed as everyone else's and to me the the Nia seems more behind the curve than any other Kobo, particularly the Libra 2 which folks seem to think will be the model updated. |

Does anybody know how well the Kobo Mini sold? I would think that turning the Nia 2E into a 5" device would give it more of a reason to exist than making it a slightly cheaper and slightly worse Clara 2E, but maybe not enough people want 5" devices to make it worth selling one.

I wouldn't mind seeing an Onyx Boox Palma sort of device, a cell phone sized ereader. I find myself increasingly drawn to smaller readers. There are times I must have a smaller reader and carry over its use to where I could use a larger reader. With a Carta 1300 screen Kobo could just take my money.

I wouldn't want anything under 7'' even if it were free.

I got fed up waiting and ordered a Libra 2 with lavender cover - exactly what I had two years ago and returned! I loved it, and it had very good black levels in dark mode at night. (Returned it due to feeling guilty). The Clara 2E and Scribe both have gray "black" levels, which was a little disappointing.
The only thing that could improve the Libra 2 for me would be moving the buttons a smidge closer to the screen. I don’t want a more powerful processor, as all I need it to do is store my books and turn pages. I figure if they add a more powerful processor, the battery life will be worse, and it is currently great. Plus, the lavender cover is out of stock most places and has to be shipped from the UK. So, no doubt there will be a new one announced imminently. ![]() |

Yeah, a Libra 2E is possible, though it was just a bit more than 2 years since the Libra 2 came out. I would be happy for a Forma 2 with a Mobius 8" screen, though I only have 6" screen Kobo readers. Oh yeah and page turn buttons definitely. Sometimes it's really annoying when you want to turn page and instead accidently tap on a footnote preview.
