There *IS* a 3Qt version, but few recipes adapted to it. I'm single, and I have the 6Qt. I either make several days' left overs, or cook half recipes in another pot inside the pot. "Pot in pot" or PIP cooking. An old-school metal stand-mixer *small* size bowl is great. Goodwill has a ton of them - maybe the small survives because nobody used it! But metal is best.

I had been thinking of the 3qt, but I was afraid there wouldn't be recipes for it. It's only me and hubby and I used to cook larger amounts for me for lunch, but it's been quite a while since I have been able to eat much more than cereal for lunch. And hubby doesn't eat leftovers so large amounts wouldn't work for me. If you make half recipes, how do you calculate how long to cook those?

I would be interested in your recipe file if you have anything vegetarian in it. I eat eggs and dairy, so that might be easier than vegan recipes.

Hey, Badgood:

There is almost no ISP/Email provider that will carry a file that size. Um...tell you what. If you want, you can send me that 2nd file, and I can put it on a Dropbox, and post links back here for those who want them? The original file and this second one?

OR, as you have DB, you can right-click, and click "copy Dropbox link" and put that link here, to in an email to someone, and it's the equivalent of the old-style public dropbox links. Anyone who clicks it can access/dl the file.

Oh, hell no, LOL. I mean, I don't mind. I literally have thousands of dropboxes--possibly literally tens of thousands--so another gig or so will go literally unnoticed. I have 2Terabyte Storage drives. Happy to do that--do you want me to post the Dropbox links here, then? As they are your files?

These are mostly "print to PDF" files of recipes that are out on the internet. That type will show the source web site inside the PDF.

A few early recipes are just screen shots of the actual recipe, and not the instructions for how to put it together. I changed my ways quickly. Some of those screen shots are now duplicated as PDFs of the whole web page (& the screen shots can be deleted, but I haven't done so!).

A smallish few are TXT files, containing my own recipes, somebody else's comments about "do this, that, the other", or comments on some of the PDFs with a coordinating name.

These are all welcomed to be shared, so (for now at least) I'll post Hitch's dropbox links here:

Something appears to have happened, due to MR, like it shortened or truncated the links. That is just bizarre. When I tried the links in the post, they had part of the path replaced with "..." like you would in a quote. Let me go get the links, again, and paste them in a new post.

You DO have to download the zips, and then unzip them at your end; otherwise, those downloads would take FOR-ever.

Can someone else here also check these links, after I've posted this? When I test these in preview, they seem to work fine.

ETA: Badgood, I think due to how MR displays links, with the ellipses, when you copy-pasted, from the PM, it didn't expand the links/urls, to what they SHOULD have been, the copy took them verbatim--which corrupted the links. Something about the way that MR handles links. The links I've posted here seem to work fine, so no harm, no foul.
