Well, at least I was actively LOOKING to buy one. So, found the sale .... don't imagine anybody else's will be a *better* sale ..... so I bought it!

It's gonna be a nightmare tracking these sales. Stores have pre-BF sales plus several blockbuster sales to cover being open on Thanksgiving and BF.

I expect Amazon to offer a ton of promos for the same devices, but at different prices. On Prime Day they had four different promos going for the same devices, and at different prices. Expect to see Amazon offers, Prime Member offers, Prime Now offers, Echo offers, Amazon Warehouse offers, etc.

I really appreciate the offer. I have the stores listed here. The top section is for stores that already have BF ads, and the bottom section is for stores that are waiting for their BF ads to drop. Go ahead and take your pick of anything but Amazon. That one's mine

If I already have a post for that store, you can copy/paste the content to your post and edit from now on. Don't feel obligated to follow my formats. I'm very OCD about the way I do these and don't expect anyone to do the same. Do it any way you want.

This seems an excellent value; I'm just not sure if the advantage of the larger screen offsets the portability issue. But definitely a contender.

Wish list:

Android phone(s) AT&T compatible. They don't have to be fancy, both of my parents are looking for new ones (they are both on my phone plan, so I don't need free minutes etc). I'd prefer to get them different phones so they don't confuse themselves, but I suppose I could just get them different cases

My nephew wants a tablet with a USB port. Not sure there's many companies making those anymore and he is sketchy on the size he wants, etc. I bought my Google Nexus tablet a few years ago due to one of these Black Friday threads, but it was a total impulse purchase based on the lovely research tubemonkey and others had done. I find all of the choices overwhelming to be honest, so any help would be appreciated.

By USB port to you mean something that is OTG compatible?

USB On-The-Go, often abbreviated to USB OTG or just OTG, is a specification first used in late 2001 that allows USB devices, such as digital audio players or mobile phones, to act as a host, allowing other USB devices, such as USB flash drives, digital cameras, mice or keyboards, to be attached to them. Use of USB OTG allows those devices to switch back and forth between the roles of host and device. For instance, a mobile phone may read from removable media as the host device, but present itself as a USB Mass Storage Device when connected to a host computer.

In other words, USB On-The-Go introduces the concept of a device performing both master and slave roles – whenever two USB devices are connected and one of them is a USB On-The-Go device, they establish a communication link. The device controlling the link is called the master or host, while the other is called the slave or peripheral.

There are a couple of pretty good looking Alkatel phones on the Best Buy BF ad. One is AT&T, the other is unlocked and compatible with AT&T.
