Ha!It may cause another crowd-founding for opportunists! They first asked for monthly donations for their website.It failed.They then asked for huge bucks for dreamy perfect six inch ereader(Most probably a second choice covering as a new political thought for running their website),and finally once again showing an onyx max for their next dreamy crowd funding I believe!

Of course,I'm pessimist.You are right!None of the aforementioned statements are correct!Just rough guesses!

Just ordered mine from the shop in Holland since they have a special pre order price + shipping costs were lower. But damn, now I have to wait a month or so!!! And I can't wait!!!

Hi guys, I am SO conflicted. Maybe you guys can help me out. Should I get the Onyx N96ML with frontlight or Onyx 13.3? I will only use the eink reader to read novels, manga/comics and using the TTS function when I'm driving in the car. I may possibly do very light web browsing or email (yahoo mail if it works???) when I'm on the beach. That sums up my usage LOL.

As an FYI the gadgets I currently have: Rooted Nook ST, Nook ST with glowlight (2 of them lol in case one got broken) Galaxy Tab S 8" (phone/tablet combo) Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, Ipad 2. I use the Galaxy Tab S more when I read things but I've been tryimg to read more on the Nook Glowlight since its healthier for the eyes. I just don't like how small it is but I do enjoy the light. I probably wasted my money on the Galaxy Note Pro as I don't really use it often (maybe if I was a student or business person) But at the time I was tempted by the 12.2 massive screen.... Just as I'm tempted by the Onyx 13.3. HELP!

I really need a frontlight, so as much as I'd love the larger screen... I don't think it will work for me. The N96ML looks good to me, although I'm still holding out a bit of hope that the tech will evolve to light the 13.3 inch screen at some point.

That mostly depends on your usage and habits.I don't need frontlight and it's pretty useless/garbage for me.Instead,I need a larger screen to read properly.That may seems not argumentative but if you like to read in car,go for tablet!I believe Onyx max is not good to read while lying on bed either!I liked that Max has no frontlight.That was one of the reasons I preordered it,and resisted buying nine inch and the like.The purpose of ereader is to have the same experience of the book reading without side effects on your eyes.Do you prefer reading hardcopy books in dark with flash light?

I would get the N96 dual touch, actually. The Max doesn't have a capacitive touchscreen, and I'm missing it.

For mangas a 13.3 inch is a huge improvement. I would (and will) go for the Onyx Max.

What's the best app for reading Mangas on the Onyx Max? I'm using Comicrack on my Android tablet.

I've never had an Onyx but with my Nook Simple Touch I used Perfect Viewer.

Now its between the N96 Dual Touch and Onyx Boox Max... I think it would be a pain to always use the stylus and Id be afraid to burn out the buttons....

I agree. Without frontlight a Carta screen is a minimum.

Even with contrast/bold adjustment scanned pdfs or their pictures can be too feint to read without lots of light.

Without an outside light source it can be difficult to read but that's equivalent to a paper book.

I prefer not to have a front light and in my experience (e.g. with the Kindle DX) there is no problem with fainting.
