I have read the Calibre manuel but still do not understand how to incorporate separate chapters into one ebook. Is there a site or a site in the forums that explains step by step to a non tech saavy ebook beginner?

Hey I am in the boat. I don't understand the whole xpath stuff at all lol. And I have looked at the manual quite a few times. But I love having a Table of Contents. So I am just hoping over time I end up gleaning how to do this.

			Not without stripping the DRM.

The good news is that the Kindle can easily read side-loaded non-DRM mobi formats, and calibre can easily convert non-DRM epub books to non-DRM mobi books. |

How can I convert a book without setting a book cover? I usually convert PDFs to FB2s or EPUB, and Calibre always sets a book cover for me (the first page of the PDF document). Thus my documents become twice as large. I don't want any book cover, just the content of the document.

Is there any chance this topic could be retired, and a new FAQ started that only Kovid and his developers can post to? It could be used for problems that are seen often and their solutions. You know, kind of a FAQ.

This interactive thread is getting to be quite a slog... Thanks! Robert |

I don't know how to restrict posting to thread to only certain members. There is a link to the real calibre FAQ in the first post of this thread.

Thanks Kovid! The real FAQ looks great and is just what I was hoping for. I misread your link in the first post - I thought you were referring to this topic which has the same name...
