If it hasn't been sent yet, and you ordered through Ebay, send the seller a personal note. You may still be able to cancel the order. I did so once because of accidentally ordering the wrong product. (I had too many tabs open at that time, and was on the wrong one. Oops.)

However, keep in mind that those slim covers without the metal tab often don't have a closing magnet, or only very weak ones in the rim of the cover. It does say "magnetic" in the title, but that might be the sleep function; which doesn't seem to be mentioned separately.

They have them on Amazon.com now but I would like to hear what someone who bought one already thinks about the build quality.

Hmmm. "Lightness" is not necessarily a desirable property for a case; it may indicate a poor level of impact protection.

I bought the sleep cover off the Kobo website. It is good for protecting the screen from dust or scratches and the sleep/wake function is nice, I don't see it doing much in the way of drop protection. It is very thin and light.
I bought an Amazon Basics 8" Tablet case in which I can fit the Kobo, sleepcase and all, and I use it when I'm taking the Kobo out and about.
