Maybe, we should ask Chuck Norris to join MR and give Karma to Kovid as he can count to infinity Twice. thereby securing Kovid's Karma for eternity.

^ Good idea, but...that presupposes Chuck Norris actually knows how to read. <just kidding Chuck!> |

On an unrelated note - thanks to Stitchawl and pdurrant for improving my meagre karma count AND giving me a suspiciously round number with lots of zeroooos!

Unfortunately, this thread has now richly contributed to the meaninglessness of karma, which was definitely not my intention when I started it. Sigh. |

Your thread neither added nor detracted from that. It only served to show how a few individuals were upset over the games. Stitchawl | |

Opening up this can of worms may have been a mistake. In which case, I apologise for my earlier and continued postings in the thread to those who find it of no use. But, but, but ... I've found the posts interesting -- especially those who don't necessarily agree with my own views (I'm blessed with flexibility of mind and can adjust to fresh ideas). And it's all been fun (I've awarded karma in the thread myself to those who made me think and/or chuckle. Many posts have done that. But if this thread has been of any true value, it's this: It's shown in no uncertain terms that Mobile read is a democracy where all views are welcomed and where the huge majority are warm, tactful, friendly, thoughtful, helpful, witty, generous and lucid. That in itself proves an important point, eh? So here's maximum Karma to MobileRead itself whose value can only be rewarded through the astuteness of its volunteer mods and the support and appreciation of its membership ... the community it conceived and to which it gave life. Bestests, folks. Neil Last edited by neilmarr; 08-15-2011 at 09:52 AM. Reason: trypo |
