Phew...finally got it. I certainly hope that when the update comes next month we don't have to do this all over again...but then where would the fun be in that? Thanks SCION.

Got another question when in cmd screen and the instructions say this:

$ adb shell
# cd /system/bin

Do you type the $ and # or do they refer to something else.

The $ and # are just command prompts. They just mean "ok, you can enter your command now". Your command prompt may be different. You ignore them.

Did the superroot (or whatever you call it) thing tonight. More goodness that I can use.

BTW, does anyone know how to remove a device from your ADE account? I apparently have too many to use Overdrive.

Oh no! I've read horror stories about getting an additional allotment of authorizations. Last I read, the only way to do it was to post on the Adobe support forum. I was so scared when I clicked authorize in the Overdrive app.

Superroot. Cute.

See this thread. It has instructions for Windows and Mac.

The Adobe Digital Editions FAQ says if you need more authorizations to contact Customer Support. Here is their info. Good luck!

This Nook Color is one awesome device!!

So... has anyone gotten the Nook for Android App working?
Im using the standard reader right now, BUT... it would be cool to show off the page swipe on the Nook for Android app on an actual Nook color (Ipad eat yout heart out ). I downloaded and installed it, but its not working for me.

Anyone else try it?

No, I was congratulating you on successfully rooting and getting Market to work.

With regard to the NOOK app I was just letting you know that you're not alone. I don't know how long you've been around just reading posts.

I think you didn't ask the question you meant to. Yes I have the Nook for Android App working . . . on my Motorola Droid.

Install apk's

How does one install an apk? When I try to install the softkey apk on my rooted Nook Color, it said "device install not allowed". I am having difficulty getting ADB to work (I use Vista 64 bit - there are many known issues)
