Is that the wired (usb)? I've used that a couple of time.

I also tried out the Verizon Hotspot and didn't think much of it.

I'm NOT rooted but there are wireless hotspot apps if you are rooted.

The official VZW-sanctioned Mobile Hotspot lost the only potential value it had for me when Android WiFi Tether got WPA/WPA2 encryption, which as far as I'm concerned is all that was really wrong with it since its access control didn't work on the DX; a combination that meant AWT was only good for emergencies.

Being rooted will always have its advocates and detractors, but the only reason I ever really wanted it is to run AWT; looking through my apps, I have maybe 3 (including AWT) that require root access.

I still definitely think EasyTether is cheap insurance whether you're rooted or not.

Oh and I just found out there is a Firefox Mobile and just installed it.

Yesterday signed up for a subscription to Xmarks and installed the xmarks for android. Feel like it's way more usable for browsing now.

Trying to wake up after an all-night visit to the gambling boat. Lots of fun, but I never win anything.

Have a great weekend!

Tarting myself up for an evening out.

My parents are celebrating their birthdays today and have also invited my father's brother (and girlfriend) and sister (with husband). I never liked them anyway but too much has happened in the last 2 years for me to sit and smile whilst they are in the room. Luckily my parents understood and me and my sister are now going out tonight. First to a tapas restaurant then to the cinema to see True Grit and depending what time the movie ends maybe some drinks afterwards.

Now I've found out I can also download musicvideos from youtube.....drag them to my iTunes and hopla music+video on my iPod. Very nice all that. So I have Kermit's Rainbow song everywhere.
Cannot figure out iTunes to save myself. I've tried. It won. But love Kermit!

Sound like a fun evening. The new True Grit was every bit as enjoyable as the original. In fact, I think the young girl was even better in the new one! Have a good time!

I'm with you on this one! iTunes want to rule my life. It want's to take over my phone and make it do what IT wants to do rather than what I want it to do!

When I got my phone, I used iTunes to load several hundred songs and a few hundred photos into my phone, move apps around to proper screens so it would look and work the way I want a phone to operate, and that's it! I have never connected my phone to iTunes again after that first time!

No... wait... that's not true. I did use it again when I added some apps to my phone and wanted them on a different screen.

My sister already saw Black Swan so we had to chose between The King's Speech and True Grit. The latter was shown at the most convenient time and cinema.

I haven't seen the original, although I might see if they have it somewhere next week. I also want to read the book it's based on. I loved the film, one of the best I've seen in quite a while. The tapas didn't go through, it was too busy at the restaurant, so we went to Grand Café Quignon, which was really good too. Still want to try tapas so me and my sister are going on a week day soon.

If I correct young people like that here, they look at me as if to say "what are you talking about?" they stopped teaching grammar in public schools here years ago.
