I may well finish up the night with some Lagavulin. It's still p***ing down outside. Girls are all tucked in for the night, though.

I'm watching a quiiz show and they just had a round on Types of Tea. I thought I'd post it here for all you tea experts.

You have to name the tea from the partial spellings below (alternate letters have been replaced by dashes):

1. p -p - e - m - n -
2. n - l - i - i
3. e - g - i - h / - r - a - f - s -
4. r - s - i - n / - a - a - a -
5. j - s - i - e

Ginger Ale in my cup.

"Peppermint" and "jasmine" jump out, but the others will require meditation while I relax with the afternoon's first mug of tea.

The first one isn't a tea, it's a tisane. Peppermint.
2. Nilgiri
3. English Breakfast
4. Hmmm. Not ringing any bells.
5. Jasmine

Yes, all bar number 4 correctly identified. The first word of number 4 should start with an upper case 'R' really.

Underneath the mango tree
Me honey and me can watch for the moon
Underneath the mango tree
Me honey and me make boolooloop soon
Underneath the moonlit sky
Me honey and I can sit hand in hand
Underneath the moonlit sky
Me honey and I can make fairyland
Mango, banana and tangerine
Sugar and ackee and cocoa bean
When we get marry we make them grow
And nine little chil' in a row

Good morning, all! Bad air pollution this morning... the farmers are burning their fields all over the north, and I can't see more than 1/2 a kilometer! Time to bring out the filter masks! I'm drinking fresh mango juice this morning, rather than tea. Just for a change.

Mangoes are really cheap here, and the Fruit Lady downstairs sells ripe sweet or sour mangoes for about 5 large ones for a dollar. The sour ones are great dipped in a sugar and chili mix and eaten as a snack. The sweet ones we just eat or blend up for juice or lassi. Our last house here had two mango trees and a papaya tree in the yard. Then we moved into a condo and had to give up the free fruit.

Having a really BAD night. Just really had it. Was doing well this morning, but the bottom dropped out about mid-day and then several bad things in a row this evening.

A class of Aberfeldy, tonight, and then to bed. Tomorrow is bound to be better.

I hope that today is better CRussel!

Working on my thrid steeping of Ali Shan High Mountain Oolong. Good stuff. Pairs nicely with the Thai chicken stir fry my hubby made.

Another week of 10 hour days trying to make up for another snow day that should not have been. When the roads on my side street are plowed and I am not allowed to go to work because other roads are not plowed, I get angry. Especailly when it could cost me a freaking vacation day.

On the up side, yesterday was spent with the LM in day care, the hubby at his work, and me chilling by myself for the first time in 21 months.

CRussel got most of these, but I'll just clear it up for anybody else who's interested. Number four is"Russian Caravan" (I'd never heard of it).

Hope things were better today.

I managed to get hold of a bottle of Aberfeldy a while back. It's... OK. I think my taste runs more to the peaty side of malts. Back to a Tallisker next time I think.

Diet Coke in my glass now.
