This must be my week! I'm drinking a cup of P.G. Tips tea and smiling twice a big because 1) I really enjoy this tea, and 2) I just bought three more boxes of the stuff. Normally selling for 235 baht, it was on sale today only for 169 baht.

But, I had two (large) cups of coffee earlier today. Friday is my writers' workshop and we meet at a coffee shop.

But I'm really a tea-person, at heart.

Good morning, everyone! Saturday morning and I'm all alone... My wife has left me to fend for myself, for a group of Japanese friends she's squiring down south to the ancient capital of Sukhothai, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage historical park. Lots of wonderful old statuary and remains of temples. I've a fencing tournament today and couldn't go along. I like Sukhothai, and have been there often on photo assignments. I'm consoling myself with several mugs of East India Company's "Assam" tea, and good grub from the Food Lady. Maybe some chocolate...

As for travelling with tea -- I often do, if I'm going to be gone for any length of time and will be where I have a reasonable chance of >190F water available. But a quick run in to Vancouver to give a presentation - I pack clean underwear and socks,my laptop, and my Kindle. And not much else. IAC, I'm glad to be back home, and I celebrated by making a pot of Lion Mountain Keemun. Which appears to suddenly be in short supply. (Peet's shows it as "Limited Edition" and no longer has it in 1Lb packages, just the 4oz tins. This is scary, I must stock up!)

I'm in chronic pain because of some of the accidents I've had and a poorly done knee replacement. I'm heavily medicated when I go to bed and generally wake partially up sometime during the night and have to re-medicate. as I'm waiting on everything to kick in I quite often scroll through the internet. I had been in a thread where someone was baiting me and I responded with a word which isn't even a cuss word. it would seem to me that if an active member acts somewhat out of character a reprimand would be in order.

in my glass, iced Downton Abbey rose tea. nice flavor but I wish they wouldn't put stevia in it.

Yeah, I saw the thread and figured that's what must have happened. Glad you're back.

Sorry to hear about the knee replacement. I confess, mine has been a complete blessing compared to what it was before. (My physician routinely wrote me scripts for 100 hydrocodone at a time and never questioned it. And goodness knows, I needed them.)

Diet coke this afternoon, but tonight is definitely a Talisker night. This rain is depressing.
