Beer is good, but at my age it exacerbates other problems. I'll stick with single malt. :
Talisker. More Talisker. |

I'm drinking a new Ceylon tea that was given to me... a teabagged tea from the Dilmah company. It's safe to say that I'm glad that I didn't buy it myself...

![]() I really am going to have to start looking around for some Pu Erhs to try. Meanwhile, Peet's Major Dickason's this morning. I need the coffee. |

Murchie's Keemun XS. Not a bad Keemun, in fact pretty good. But not up to my Lion Mountain Keemun, and a bit more expensive.

I found another Ceylon today... and dirt cheap! My wife sent me out to a new coffee shop for a bag of her favorite, and I spotted the tea on a back shelf. It's a locally imported Sri Lanka tea, no idea what part of the island, and it's GOOD! When I opened the vacuum package, I was a bit worried. It's almost a powder rather than a broken leaf. But being a trooper I soldiered on and brewed up a cup. Very, very nice! Nice color, pleasant aroma, and rich clean taste. Good thing too, as I bought a half kilo of the stuff. It was the only size they had, and cost about $5 USD. A very lucky find!

My goodness, what a find. That should keep you in breakfast tea for a bit.
![]() I'm drinking a bit of last year's Peet's Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea. I still have a bit left (maybe 4 pots after this one), and I thought it would be good to remind myself of what the last one was like as we get closer to the new edition. |

Second mug of tea -- this is from a package marked "Imperial Keemun" that I bought a while back at a seriously inflated price from a tea shop in downtown Vancouver. The tea is good, reminds me a lot of my Lion Mountain Keemun, but I remember thinking it was awfully pricey when I bought it, and it isn't any better than Lion Mountain Keemun, if as good. Good Keemun nose (kind of "red earthy smoky" is the way I think of it), and a decent dark red liquor, with some nice earthy Keemun notes. But not really as robust as I would expect. And it was more than twice the price of Lion Mountain Keemun which goes for $15.95/4oz.

I'm late, I'm late forA very important date. No time to say hello, good-bye, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late I'm late and when I wave, I lose the time I save. My fuzzy ears and whiskers Took me too mych time to shave. ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wl47EEYrAc ) Good morning, all. Running on all cylinders this morning, with 8 friends visiting Chiang Mai from Japan. We're playing tour guide today, and first it's off the biggest street market in the north, then lunch along the lake, then it's off for an elephant ride through the jungle for a few hours (an enternity when riding an elephant, but that's what they want to do,) then a big Thai buffet for dindin, followed by an exploration of Chiang Mai's famous "Night Safari." But first another cup of my new Ceylon tea! Quote:
