OTOH, since I wouldn't answer until she got the name right, I got a few more minutes of reading time while she worked her way down the list.

I once had a boyfriend whose mother went through all her childrens names and the names of their five pets every time she was shouting for some reason or other.

I loved it, but then I am a single child and managed to never get on her (pi$$ed) list.

Wait. Am I reading this correctly? Are there people who can't keep the names of their own children (and pets...) apart even if there are only four?

I think the solution for ebook addiction is make it mandatory that size of each each book is minimum 1GB.

As a father of two boys, I would never, ever call the wrong name out while cheering them during their football games. And the other parents would never laugh while I tried to correct myself.

I've got two, and I forget who they are. My mum calls me by her sister's name half the time. It's rather common.

We've only got 2 and my husband repeatedly calls my daughter by HIS sister's name and often get's our son's name mixed up with our daughter AND mine. (In fairness, my son's name and mine start with the same letter.)

Well, yes, OTOH all these names/nicknames/petnames sounded quite alike anyway and I guess it was a lot easier to call the lot of them than to find out who the culprit was.

Alas, bank charges have made my bargains much less so. I now need to add bank charges of $16.50 to the cost of the books!
I think it is dependent on the type of card. I just got my Visa bill and there were no bank charges. Each book bought in India was .03 cents. I was a little worried when you posted the above, but whew, turned out to be a deal. Which is good because the ebooks I bought from the UK were not couponable and end up being just under $11 US each.

I was doing so well, until this current Kobo contest, in which I've snagged some 65% and 75% off codes.......

At least all of the books I've bought have been on my wishlist and they're all of the sort that I don't anticipate to come up in regular sales or that I've now got for less than they'd be if on sale. Even so, that's currently eight new books already bought in May. Sigh. At least I'm now at a point where I have trouble even applying a 75% off code to any other wishlist books - I don't want them that much, or in other words, I don't actually need them right now.

A 75% coupon would be nice indeed. Speaking of Baen books, I must get Rescue Mode by Ben Bova. Although that's not out until June.

I forgot about the contest and used the only good coupon I earned (75%) on the first book of the Grimnoir Chronicles. I had books 2 and 3 from Baen Bundles, so now I can start the series.
