Good morning, everyone! Sun's up once more... just like clock-work! I had a teacher once who tried telling us that the Earth revolved and that's why we could see the sun moving... Ridiculous! Everyone knows it's being drawn across the sky in Helios' chariot!

I'll salute his daily efforts with a mug of Ving Joom On's "English Breakfast" tea and a plate of green stuff from the food lady. I'll probably ask for seconds on both. Gooood sutff!

And 10 hour days always suck, ProfCrash. I ought to know, I've been doing them since the beginning of February. But I swear, I'm taking enough time off this weekend to watch The Brier. For the first time in years we have a BC rink with a real chance to win.

Yeah well tomorrow is a 4 hour day because no one on my team was approved to make up the 8 hours on Monday. So I am working my 8 now and I am going to take off early.

And I am not making up sick days this years, which I have done in the past.

Water. To go with my headache from being in a hotel. It doesn't matter how good the hotel, I seem to end up with a headache whenever I'm away overnight. What I need, but won't be able to get, is a good cuppa.

As for travelling with tea -- I often do, if I'm going to be gone for any length of time and will be where I have a reasonable chance of >190F water available. But a quick run in to Vancouver to give a presentation - I pack clean underwear and socks,my laptop, and my Kindle. And not much else. Especially since I am walking on the Ferry, and taking the bus to downtown.

IAC, I'm glad to be back home, and I celebrated by making a pot of Lion Mountain Keemun. Which appears to suddenly be in short supply. (Peet's shows it as "Limited Edition" and no longer has it in 1Lb packages, just the 4oz tins. This is scary, I must stock up!)

Good morning, everyone! Happy Saturday! It's another meeting of the Chiang Mai Fencing Club today, so I'm polishing my weapons, packing my clothes, and getting ready to play! I have a big mug of Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea to drink, along with a plate of Hueveous Rancheros... I'll probably have a second cup of tea too. In fact, I think today I'll make up a pitcher-full to take with me. The Fencing Salle isn't air conditioned and sword fighting is hot and thirsty work! Strange... you never see Errol Flynn or Basil Rathbone getting sweaty, do you... I must be getting old.
