First mug of tea well started. I expected to be shoveling snow, but after a quick flurry it apparently gave up. I'm so-ooo disappointed!

Good morning, everyone! It's a good Tuesday in the Land of Smiles, and I'm smiling too! 32°C and sunny... Good unbranded Keemun tea in my cup, and the Food Lady's best in my stomach. Looking forward to an afternoon of music down by the lake with friends, after our morning walk, that is! Yeah... happy!

Good morning. Hope all are well and survived yet another snowpocolypse back East. We had our own version here, with nearly 30cms when they predicted "snow showers turning to rain by mid-day". All sorts of disruptions. But then the rains did finally come, 3 days later and the snow is all gone again.

Peet's Holiday Breakfast Blend tea. I'm really getting anxious, waiting for this year's Anniversary Breakfast Blend. It's usually one of my favourites, but you never know exactly what direction they'll take it in.

Tried two different teas that had been sitting in my cupboard for several months, not being drunk. Now I remember why.

This time, I did the smart thing -- binned them.

Gave up, drinking diet coke this afternoon.

Good morning, everyone! Middle of the week... I guess it could go either way?
I'm drinking East India Company's "Assam" tea today, and getting ready to try to clean up the mess I made last night playing with corn starch and silicone sealant... I really, really should have turned off the fan before I opened the corn starch package... But I guess now I know how you all feel with your several inches of new snow covering everything...

While drinking a mug of Yorkshire tea, I'll explain...
When mixed together, they form a moldable 'putty' that cures to a firm rubber shape. This can be use to make countless items, repair countless others. I'm wrapping the uncured putty around a 'skeleton' grip of an epée, squeezing it to make a custom-molded handle for the weapon.

There is a new product on the market called 'Sugru' that is this same type of moldable silicone rubber, but it's rather expensive. I bought some, tried it out on my fencing foils, and decided I liked it. But as I said, it's rather expensive. BadGoodDeb (I think...) told me that there were several Youtube videos about people making their own, so I decided to try it. And other than the mess involved, I used $2 worth of silicone sealant and about 10¢ worth of corn starch, and made a lump of putty about the size of a handball... more than enough to customize my epée. It works! Other than the mess I made the first time, this is a great crafts solution for many household fixes! Here's a photo of a foil grip modded with the stuff.
