After three pint glasses of Coke during a meal out (curry) with old workmates, there's nothing in my glass, and won't be until the morning.

A Pepsi Max that I picked up while grocery shopping. It's okay. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it's not bad.

Good morning, everyone! Sunday morning, not quite 8am... Already almost 90°F/32°C. Probably won't snow today so we'll go for a motorcycle ride in the mountains along the Burmese border. We need to bring a GPS with us 'cuz sometimes these back mountain road inadvertently carry us into Burma, and that is NOT a good thing... Drinking East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea, and doing computer chores first though. Some things just can't wait.

Good morning, all! It's a new week in a new month and I can't help but wonder what it will bring! Changes... that's for sure! But old standbys to start it off; I've got a mug full of East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea beside me, and a visit to the Food Lady coming up. Both are welcome beginnings to the rest of my life. Guitar lesson today, but bad news for the teacher. It will be my last lesson with him. Nice guy, good musician, but he doesn't seem to want to teach me what I want to learn. I'm not interested in playing songs note-for-note the way the original group played it. I can learn that on my own if I did. Youtube is full of them. I've been playing guitar for waaay too many years to just learn new songs. I wanted more theory and improvisation, and he just barely touched on that... I told him several times, but each week it was something different. Not even progressive building of techniques. He's had 10 lessons to get it together, but it's still a new song each week, no improv, and no theory. So it's off to interview other teachers around town. There are half a dozen music schools here so there is a choice.

Hopslam. Federal Government is already closed for tomorrow, which means schools and day care are closed. (Sigh)
