A good Ti Kwan Yin makes an excellent tea. A perennial favourite. And if you come across a "Jade" Ti Kwan Yin, give it a try. Slightly lighter than a regular Ti Kwan Yin, but on the "greener" side. With a strong but delicate nose. At first I wasn't sure, but it has grown on me to become a favourite.

I had a great holiday in Ho Chi Minh city, and just got back to start working on my graduation thesis. Time flies so fast! I remember joining MR when I was a freshman.

About sticky rice pu erh: The mild taste might not be to your likings, but I guarantee you this: it smells awesome.

Will do. The new supermarket nearby had a huge collection of tea, and while staying in HCMC I discovered a teashop that sells quality loose leaves of every kind I could recall, reading you guys' posts.

Sorry I'm late. I went out rather early this morning to look for some early Lanna Kingdom ruins in the mountains before the day got too hot. I met some friends just before dawn and didn't have time to do my morning Internet chores. Unfortunately, the ruins turned out to be just that... ruined. Not something I wanted to photograph.

Back home again, with a mug of East India Company's "Assam" tea to refresh me, and a stack of unanswered e-mail to deal with... Ba humbug!
