I think it probably helps a little to know that he was not reviled by all. this is a guy who quite seriously has no social interaction at all, doesn't really get on with his family, barely gets out of his house, and isn't even particularly computer literate. it's like letting the Frankenstein monster on the softball team, having a good time with him, he farts, and the townspeople run for the pitchforks (that's the inside of the recluse's head)

indeed! I wasn't logging in for 3 days or so, and found out about happy_terd's disappearance. Since I wasn't in the 'harden debaters' group, I was really confused about 'P&R forum' and had to give up a whole afternoon to figure out the plots

see, I didn't want to ask but failed to make it out myself, so...

Looking at all my orders that came in today. I finally got the books from Book Depository they send out three weeks ago (The Killings at Badger's Drift and a travel journal), the Despicable Me dvd (with Minion buttons) and a new toilet bag. It's still 80 before I go to Wolverhampton but I'm already buying things I need every now and then, the preparations are always half the fun!

Trying to figure out an easy way to get all these YA books I've been buying and collecting for my son to his new iPod Touch. He's in Texas, I'm in Illinois. Since I've never had an iPod anything, this is all new territory for me.

If they are in either DRM-free Mobi or DRM-free ePub, there's no problem at all. Just import into the Kindle App or iBooks, respectively.

What Harry said. You might ask him first which app he prefers and send him the right format. Personally I love the Kindle app, but my opinion is maybe not very valid since I almost never read books on my iPod. I DON'T like the silly time wasting page turning animation in iBooks and it doesn't look like you can switch it off. I suppose it might be fun on an iPad, but on iPod you get to turn a page every few seconds and I'm guessing it will get old very fast.

Of the 3 app that I have on iPod (where I do all my reading) the one I prefer is Stanza, I can change the font size very easily, and likewise other formatting choices, although less frequently. It also links effectively with Caliber.

YA books I imagine being books for Young Adults.

Just set everything in motion to move my website to a new host. This will save me nearly €100 in two years plus the new host offers a lot more.

Fingers crossed everything will go smooth and fast. Not looking forward to figuring out how to put back my Wordpress blog (already backed everything up).

For once I am with you, although I do not share what comes out of your representation of Jon. I'd rather remember the nice things of him. Which are many and not so common, around here and elsewhere.

The recluse caper is quite heavy. Obviously there has been a decision. There is not much that one can do except to pass a word of friendship. He never bothered me although he dropped me out of his friends (probably in one of his most clairvoyant moments) for a couple of weeks. On the contrary, he has seldom missed an occasion of being nice to me. Maybe he cannot stand stiffs. I hope that the powers to be change their mind. I do not think that is probable, maybe possible, just barely so. I do not see anything different for me to do except post this and keep doing what I was doing.
