Major Dickason's to get me going this morning - had to be up early to cheer for the Canadian Men's Curling team. Then, in keeping with Sochi as a theme, a couple of mugs of Peet's Russian Caravan tea while we watched Team Canada easily take Gold over TeamGB. This is the first time Canada has won Gold in both Men's and Women's curling in the same Olympics. And, all credit to Murdock's TeamGB rink, this is the first medal for any GB men's curling team.

FWIW, the difference between Peet's Russian Caravan and Murchie's Russian Caravan is pronounced. The Peet's appears to have a bit of Bergamot in it, while the Murchie's has a substantial dose of Lapsang Souchong. Both are delicious teas, however.

Good morning, everyone. Another beautiful Saturday morning! There seem to be so many of them. It's as if it happens almost every week! I have a big mug of East India Company's "Assam" tea to wake up to, and plans for a fun day at the Fencing Club for the afternoon to look forward to. After all these years it's just so nice to be able to fence again... It's like finding a long-lost friend!

Kudos to your Canadian curling teams, Charlie. They really did it this year! A gold medal for the women's team must make Canada proud. I haven't heard the results for the men's team yet, but I'm sure their housekeeping skills will see them on to victory!

I think one more cup of Assam tea, then a visit to the Food Lady is in order! I can get a good second steeping from the East India teas. Good value and good taste. I like that!

The men won this morning, Stitchawl. It wasn't even really close. Amazing when you think of where this rink comes from--a tiny little town on the north shore of Lake Superior. And three of them are in the same family.

But when they moved there, it was some sort of big deal. I was way too young to know what it was all about, but their leaving the country had the family all in tizzie.
