It's been years since I had one, the Jewish bakery made the best but it closed years ago. No other local bakery makes them, which may be a good thing .

12 kilos ago I used to eat them every day... Stopping was a difficult but good thing.

Now, because of the Valentine's Day tradition here, my wife had to find something chocolate to give me, so she fell back on an old standby. It was certainly appreciated. I hadn't tasted one in several years! I think Valentine's Day should be every day!

Well, in Bulgaria, the 14th of February is the day in which you cut the vines (symbolically) and "water" them with wine. It's called Tryphon Zarezan (Tryphon cut/to be cut/cut just a little in translation). A big celebrating day (even if it's hard to compete in the last years against the very commercialized St. Valentine's day). It's conected to St. Tryphon, who's the Patron of wine makers and gardeners.

So, get a glass of wine and enjoy this beautiful day!

I tend to stay far away from facebook on any day, so no problem for me there . I can't stand touchy-feely couples, and there do seem a lot more of those on Valentine's day. Maybe it's because I'm not like that. At all. I don't pay any attention to Valentine's day, even when I'm in a relationship. It's just so commercialised. I'd rather my boyfriend surprise me with flowers or a romantic date on any other day. That's a lot more spontaneous and fun than getting flowers 'because it's Valentin's day'.
