Has anyone tried to apply the existing PRS+ to the new Sony (PRS-T1)?

I've just translate the file "lang.ods" in to VietNamese
I don't know which files that must be modified to add new UI language to PRS+ I wish Vietnamese will be added to the next PRS+ (beta) version. But now, i can't wait any more...so i'd like to build a dist that i can chose between Vietnamese and English UI language....But, which files i must to modify... |

Author Listing:
I for my part would not need that. quisvir: I tested the "tab to close popup" - function. Doesn't work for the 350. If I understand right, this function should close for example the font-size dialogue. Would be very useful! A. |

Analogus:
The popup closed is what internally is called the 'shortcut' overlay, which you get by double tapping a word, or otherwise selecting text. The font-size dialogue is another overlay entirely. I guess the functionality could be extended to include other overlays as well, though the usefulness of that is less obvious to me. |

Ah, makes sense and works well. So this function closes the dictionary popup. Very useful!
![]() Closing "other" popups: I would find it useful not always searching for the small X to close a dialog box for - font size dialog - options in books and sub categories for example - search box in books This is obviously a feature of the T1 A. Last edited by Analogus; 10-05-2011 at 06:59 AM. |

![]() By the way, the second feature I always wanted from the library of an ebook-reader is the ability to show the Description in epub's metadata. Do you think it would be possible to implement? Last edited by eXistenZ; 10-05-2011 at 11:20 AM. |

That's all the encouragement I needed; I'll do my best to implement an author list addon
![]() It won't be in the coming version btw, but hopefully it'll be done before v16. Analogus: I'll consider your suggestion, but it depends on the amount of code needed to make it work. If every overlay has a specific function that has to be overruled, it might be a bit much. lezard: I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm sure kartu will be along soon with an answer ![]() |

Don't make yourself too much work. The most important function (closing dic. by tab) is allready implemented. Works great and is of much help (for I use the dictionary very often). A. |

Maybe this is the tread for my question.
I have had my PRS650 since last summer. I have never updated the firmware and would love advice. 1. I am nervous 2. Where do I find updates, the Sony site is confusing 3. I don't know where to see what version I have so I don't know for sure if I'm behind. 4. I notice Kartu seems to do amazingly interesting updates. Please can someone who uses that firmware give me advice about it, where to find it and if it works with Digital Editions which is what I use. I appreciate I sound pretty pathetic. I have researched just got more worried! I am terrified of messing up my reader but would love more features. The ability to see a description of the book would be so useful. I often start a book I've already read. Thank you, Amanda |

It's natural when contemplating updating your prized gadget for the first time

If your books have had their DRM removed and you use the free Calibre ebook management software, there is an option to insert a book 'jacket' as page 2 of your epub. This contains various metadata about your book -- author, title, series, year and comments (which can be a book synopsis or anything else you want to store in there). |

Jackie thank you so much for your really helpful reply. Apart from the help it's great not to feel so lonely!
Can you use the Calibre free ebook management with Digital Editions? I had often wondered what DRM was, it's impossible to search as it is mentioned so often. Clearly I need DRM! I shall now go and find the Kartu page. Many thanks again. Ps I have been to look at the Kartu downloads, I had already seen the video, but looking at all the codes and techy codes being discussed I think it's beyond me. I shall hunt for PRSplus.
