On your build number (3202100019) FB01 packages are allowed. Again, all other devices run build number 3202090019 (except for the KOA - it runs some weird build numbers, which are unique to it, just like yours is unique to KT3, and so we can't be sure if downgrading works on KOA, until somebody gets it [delivery starts from 31st October] and tries this method out).

Now somebody just needs to try if that same downgrading trick works for KT3 on 5.8.11 too. I think that trying this is absolutely harmless - if it works, it works, if it doesn't, it just deletes the upgrade file from the device. But still - try on your own risk.

Tried searching for info on these forums and google but couldn't find anything.

I have a basic kindle touch KT2 (90C6).
Things I have done in order:
at the beginning had 5.4.something with special offers
1. reset device
2. register/confirm device
3. Airplane mode
4. Downloaded factory_KT2_5.6.0_initial not from provided sources as they don't work
5. Plug in kindle
6. Transfer files
7. Unplug kindle
8. Update software
9. Download jailbreak from link provided
10. Connect kindle
11. Transfer jailbreak file
12. disconnect kindle
13. in search bar ;installHtml
14. Kindle restarts everything seems fine, got you jailbreaked file
15. Download jailbreak fix
16. Connect kindle, put file, disconnect kindle, update kindle
17. Connect kindle to the internet
18. Turn on airplane mode
Now at this point, kindle randomly restarted and then bootlooped.
After a few bootloops threw:
Your Kindle Needs Repairing
Repair Code:2
Version:2588930001
DSN:90C60606438500V3

Is there a way to unbrick my device without pry opening it?
If so how?

Don't worry about your Kindle!

It should be fine!

Does your PC detect the Kindle?

If yes, create a new file on the root, called "DO_FACTORY_RESTORE" and inform us back if it's fine.

Maybe it's not a problem on your side. I mean, you're loading unofficial software - problems may occur sometimes, even if you follow the instructions carefully. That's why you always see those "do it on your own risk" messages.

Anyways, I'm glad I helped. Enjoy your Kindle a few more years!

You probably did not do anything wrong.
It is known to happen very rarely.

I'm sorry, i don't get it on how to use MrPi, UYK also and how to restart into smth also don't understand.

What I have managed to do is
I have jailbreaked succesfuly
I have put hotfix .bin in root.
I updated kindle
After that didn't update(now same 5.6.0) or upgrade software since after connecting with wifi i didn't get such option and file i found on amazon was a very messy and after putting it in root also didn't get option to upgrade.

Then I put KUAL-KDK-2.0.awz2 in my documents folder.
Also downloaded MRPI and put its folder in such a way that
let say I order folders with tab, then my kindle looks like this

---documents
------kual.azw2
---extensions
------mrInstaller
---mkk
---mrpackages
------bunch of stuff I have found on kual like calc
---rp
---system

Now KUAL active in my books list doesn't work, i get application error, selected application could not be started.

That message means you have to install the "HotFix"

I did install hotfix, by applying update with that .bin file provided.
Still get same error.

How do you know that it installed?

p.s: Then use machine translation and post both the before and after text blocks in each post.

1) That does not indicate that the "hotfix" installed. All of that would happen even if it did not install

2) That is confirmation that the "hotfix" did not install.

3) You will lose the jail break the first time that the Kindle updates.

But if you don't want to have a jail broken Kindle, I can certainly drop the subject and pretend you never asked for help.

Removed special offers.
Suddenly can update software.
Software updates.
Now KUAL launched just fine!!!!!
If KUAL launched, does that mean that i still have jailbreak?

No.

There are two different "jail breaks" for a Kindle.

One, the "device jail break", is our package signature certificate.
You have seen that some of our add-ins are in packages with the filename form of: update_*.bin.
Those packages are signed and require are public key to be installed.
Same, same as Amazon update_*.bin name format packages.
Because, we use the Amazon provided updater, same as Amazon does.

Two, the "application jail break", those are our application keys.
They are also signature certificates, they also have the public keys required to run our applications.

1 -> Only used to install packages.
Use the dummy update package in the first post to test it.
That package will not actually install anything, but it will write a report if the "device jail break" certificate is present.

2 -> Only used to run a signed application (KUAL is one such).
If those are missing (and your use of DO_FACTORY_RESTORE did delete them), then KUAL will not run.
I.E: Because the application keys are missing.
