DFW traffic has nothing on Chicago traffic. It's actually possible to get to both downtowns without a near death experience.

The only part I'm dreading is renting a car in Dallas and driving out to where my daughter lives (about a hundred miles, through Dallas/Ft. Worth metro traffic). Well, Chris would be the one driving. I'll be sitting in the passenger seat with my eyes closed.

Celebrating....well not exactly, but... after fighting with my (fake-tivo/media-pc) laptop on and off since I got it several months back .. I finally got it to share directories.....sheesh why make it so complicated!

Also I found the screen driver needed updating and I've not had a HDMI playback crash since....still got my fingers crossed though....

Next up....remote/wireless/keyboard ...

just had a good time wandering alone on bike, the city is obviously much less crowded near Lunar New Year, two third of shops and stores are closed and the streets are filled with flowers. That's the city I love.

I just found out I've been made first author of a research report I've been working on with two other people! Although both of them have 15 to 20 more years of reserach experience, I invested the most hours in this study so they proposed making me first author. And of course I'm not going to disagree Yippieeeeee!

That's the city where I was born, where I grew up with. Yep, I'm still on holiday and I'll go back to the capital in a week from now, when the holiday ends, to start the 2nd term of freshman's life and it's hot here, t-shirts, shorts and sandals are the ideal clothes.

no you don't know about the winter in tropical area. Many friends of mine have gone to snowy places and they say it's still easier to deal with, rather than the 10-degree-winter in the north of Vietnam. the humidity usually goes up to 100% and it's horrible. When you touch a thing, especially new clothes in the drawer or the blanket that nobody used in the last 5 minutes, you'll see, it's cold in a wet way - much colder than when it's cold in a dry way That's something I can't describe using words, you guys should experience it yourselves.
